The Rules of the United States Golf Association govern all play.

Unless otherwise noted, the penalty for breach of a local rule or condition is

TWO STROKES or LOSS of HOLE in Match Play.

USGA RULES OF GOLF SHALL GOVERN ALL PLAY

 

SLOW PLAY: The SCGA Pace of Play and Penalties will be strictly enforced

 

PROTECTIVE FENCES: All protective fences inside the course are immovable obstructions (Rule 24-2).

THERE IS NO LINE OF SIGHT RELIEF.

 

LAKES: All lakes are lateral water hazards (Rule #26). The margins are defined by the water’s edge, unless defined by red stakes or red lines. 

 

FLOOD CONTROL CHANNEL :The Flood control channel is a lateral water hazard when it parallels a hole, the boundary is defined by a red line, red stakes or the cement liner. In addition when the channel parallels a fairway, a ball coming to rest on the opposite side is deemed to be in the channel. When the flood control channel crosses the fairway it is a Water Hazard and is defined by a yellow line or yellow stakes.

NOTE: The ball cannot be played from the channel or bridges.

 

OUT OF BOUNDS: (Course #1) Fences and masonry walls bordering the course, the paved cart path left, behind the #9 green & behind the #18 green. White stakes on the left of the #1 and #9 fairway (Driving range poles). Service yard left of the #3 fairway.
(Course #2)
The fences and masonry walls bordering the course and the paved cart path behind the #18 green are OB.

NOTE: Where there is a masonry wall with a fence atop it, the wall at ground level is the O.B. boundary.

 

GROUND UNDER REPAIR: Defined by white lines. 
DAMAGE DO TO ROSE BOWL PARKING: Damage from parking on the golf course is G.U.R. Relielf may be taken through the green.
ACTIFICIALLY SURFACED AREA'S DECOMPOSED GRANITE: Are imovable obstructions.(24-2) (enterance way's and the right side of #18 on course #1)

DRAINAGE AREA: (Course #2) Hole #13. The player may take relief, no penalty.

 

STONES IN BUNKERS: Are movable obstructions (Rule 24-1)

AERATION HOLES: "Through the green", a ball that comes to rest in or on an aeration hole may be lifted w/o penalty, cleaned and dropped as near as possible to the spot where it lay but not nearer the hole.
  On the putting green a ball that comes to rest in or on an aeration hole may be placed at the nearest spot not nearer the hole that avoids the situation.
 
 LOCAL RULE FOR A BALL ON THE PUTTING GREEN ACCIDENTALLY MOVED BY THE PLAYER. RULES 18-1, 18-2 AND 20-1 MODIFIED.
When a player's ball lies on the putting green, there is no penalty if the ball or ball-maker is accidentally moved by the player, his partner, his opponent, or any of their caddies or equipment.
The moved ball or ball-marker must be replaced as provided in Rules 18-2, 18-3 and 20-1.
This Local Rule applies only when the player's ball or ball-marker lies on the putting green and any movement is accidental.

CELL PHONES: The use of cell phones during our tournaments is prohibited on the course prohibited during the Stipulated round.1st violation will be a warning. 2nd and each additional violation will be a two stroke penalty.
